In Honour of Joan

What began as a way for Joan to sell the knitwear she so skillfully crafted for dolls quickly became the beloved Christmas tradition that is An Old Fashioned Christmas Craft Show. From the various vendors and attendees who come back year after year, many were greeted by Joan's smiling face behind her 'Joan's Dolls' table upon entry to the craft show and the sight of both her and her beautiful dolls became a tradition of its own. With her kind eyes and warm smile, Joan always made those around her feel special and her dolls and the clothing she spent hours crafting for them were truly something remarkable and so very unique, as no two dolls were ever alike. In 2022, Joan sadly passed after 98 beautiful and wonderful years on this earth. She left behind a legacy and a passion for sharing what she loved to do with those around her and as the show has always been 'for Joan', since her passing that has rung true even more. This year, the 10th anniversary of An Old Fashioned Christmas Craft Show, we honour Joan even more than ever before and continue sharing her creative spirit through the talented vendors who bring their wares to the show and all those who attend to enjoy some Christmas cheer. Thank you to Joan, and thank you to all those who have helped make An Old Fashioned Christmas Craft Show the wonderful event it is. As always, we do it for Joan.
